RED KEY EXPERIMENT

rke

Cover Art by Drew de Ramos

Finally decided to make this available in Soundcloud.

Something I’m extremely proud of.  An experimental collaboration with Drew de Ramos utilizing vinyl records and an old cassette 4 track we handed back and forth to each other.  Utilizing sample pieces from Filipino communist songs, vocal oddities, exotica, jazz, house, sound effects and whatever else we could find in our collective record collection.

Hoping to revive RKE again soon as well as reboot the video companion piece to the EP.

If you are in the mood for some left field cinematic soundscapes have a listen or hit me up for download options.  Many thanks for taking the time.

From the EP:

a collaborative music scape of a growl translucent and joelquiz experimenting with a  collage of vinyl and electronic manipulation to create cinematic sound experience.

featuring clips from Bruce Lee, Mumia Abu Jamal, Mister Rogers, Afrika Bambaataa, Billy Cobham, Filipino Communist songs, Joanne Woodward, Tomita, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Charles Webster, sound effects recordings, language learning records, Bill Henderson, and others
